 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub, an American actor and comedian, is often referred to as Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub. After moving to America her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents. Her career began as an actress in her early years as a child. Her fame was boosted by her appearances in AT&T commercials on TV as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and since in 2020. Apart from her commercial appearances, she also appeared as a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also played a regular role on the NBC drama This Is Us 2016-2017. Vayntrub was also cast as Squirrelgirl on Marvel Rising in 2018 following her role in the pilot television series New Warriors. Vayntrub was Jewish, born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents and she fled antisemitism when she was just two years old. They moved to the U.S. with their children. Due to the family's financial problems the actress began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School. But she dropped out of school following her sophomore year. She was able to get an GED and then was able to earn a Bachelor of Arts (Communication) from the University of California San Diego. As part of the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied Improv comedy.
